Allied Arts Education Project (AAEP) is a partnership of community-based
organizations, schools and individuals dedicated to: |

Assisting schools
in implementation of state academic  arts standards
-
Providing arts workshops and residencies for students, Artists in Schools
and Community
-
Training and mentoring educators, pre-service teachers and artists
- Strengthening community arts partnerships
-
Advocating for Arts Education
Arts
activities for the schools include:

Visual arts workshops by local professionals
-
Dance and theatre residencies for elementary students
-
Fields trips to Whatcom Museum, Children's Museum, Mount Baker Theater and WWU  Outdoor
Sculpture Collection

Mentorships in the arts for classroom teachers

Our education programs are supported by a Washington State Arts
Commission Arts in Education Community Consortia Grant
